My name is Candace Cobery and I am the owner and creator behind Pebbles and Play. I am a mamma to two young girls as well as TK teacher in my local district.

I use sensory play every day with my students and have a sensory table at home. I have always made my sensory material by hand and now I have decided to share my creations with others.

Sensory play is one of my favorite activities for children. It’s perfect for ages 3-8, though I have seen ages all the way to adults enjoy sensory bins.

My family and I put so much love into our sensory mixes, we hope you have a great time playing!

Sensory play is essential for growing children. This type of play can activate the child’s senses, build brain connections, encourage language, and fine motor skills, promote problem solving, as well as help them regulate their emotions. These hands-on activities are great for open ended play.

Sensory bin fillers can be poured into any dry container. Add different tools such as spoons, cups, funnels, trays, etc. to encourage children’s play. They will begin to explore the materials while working on their fine motor needs, problem solving, sorting, imaginary play, independence, and more. Materials can be used again and again when stored in a dry airtight bag or container.

Kid safe plates, cups, bowls, funnels, ice cube trays, cupcake inserts and trays, egg cartons, etc.
Wooden spoons, measuring cups, fine motor tweezers, etc.
Different size sifter, cereal dispensers

Cars, trucks, boats, etc.
Small dolls, animals, etc.
Stones, shells, flowers, gems, etc.
Pipe cleaners and string for beading

Easy cleanup

Put a sheet down under the sensory bin for easy cleanup. The sheet should catch most of the play material and can be dumped back into the bin.
For children who like to make a mess; try deeper sensory bins such as a large storage tote, and have the child play on the floor. They will need to lean their bodies over the bin.
Play outside! You can easily set up a bin outside. Make sure the material will not get wet during play or storage.

All play should be supervised by an adult. Materials are recommended for ages 3+ as small parts can be a choking hazard. This product is not meant to be put in the mouth or consumed. By purchasing you are assuming the inherent risk.
